I join many other concerned family members and friends in a plea for immediate development and implementation of new and safe pharmacological agents for stress examinations of the heart, to be used in conjunction with CMR (Cardiac MR Imaging)—as alternatives for cardiac bypass “veterans” (like Gary Ross Logan, d. 5-26-10, Ann Arbor, Michigan) who may also have a life-threatening (allergic) response to the standard dobutamine/atropine medical scheme (for the detection of blockages, myocardial infarction, and inducible myocardial ischemia or wall motion abnormalities). We promote insurance coverage for more extensive routine check-ups and monitoring of cardiac-care patients—to also include thallium stress testing, and other safe, non-invasive procedures for monitoring heart health, especially in the post-surgery years. We encourage ongoing education and increased awareness nationwide (for the public, as well as medical professionals), in terms of the most safe and effective, current testing and evaluation options for heart health maintenance.

The scholarship fund in Gary Ross Logan’s name is intended to provide assistance for qualified individuals to attend training events in crisis response, at the beautiful natural surroundings and conference facilities of Kettunen Center in Tustin, Michigan. Gary taught and attended the annual MCRA training conference there for 17 years.
